Earlier this week, one of my friends told me to watch this week’s Carpool Karaoke and I had no idea why I HAD to watch. Now, I finally watched and I seriously just had the best nine minutes of my life since I saw Britney in Vegas. This might be my favorite episode of Carpool Karaoke, so enjoy!
I named my blog But First Café, because I have a serious obsession with coffee. I love all types, flavors, and ways of making coffee. This week I saw a BuzzFeed post about the best memes related to coffee, and they are all super accurate. For everyone with a coffee addiction like mine, enjoy!
We’ve all heard the comments DT has made about Hillary Clinton playing the woman card. Well women are responding, and these tweets HelloGiggles compiled are hilarious. Enjoy!
This is a great BuzzFeed post about the symptoms coffee addicts experience! Enjoy some coffee humor 🙂
We all know that hump day is the worst day of the week. Seriously, smack dab in the middle of the week, and there’s still two more days until the weekend. Today BuzzFeed, posted a great series of GIFS that accurately describe the 20 something experience. So here’s some hump day entertainment!
Thursday night I was lucky enough to attend a free screening of Tumbledown. It was a super fun experience, filled with free popcorn and candy. The movie is about a woman whose husband died, and a fan/researcher wants to write a book about him and other famous musicians. Another main character is the state of Maine, specifically the views and the people. These three characters allow for an intimate and dynamic relationship to develop. After the screening, there was a Q & A with the Director and the writer. It was very interesting to hear about the creative process, and the steps they had to go through to get the film made and publicized.
If you’re looking for a quirky indie film to watch, this is definitely a good one. Rebecca Hall and Jason Sudeikis do an excellent job in this film, and really suck you into the experience with them.
Also, shout out to HelloGiggles for hosting the screening!
Within the past year, I have started to enjoy all of the unique TV shows that exist due to streaming. One of my absolute favorite TV shows that is only available via Amazon is Transparent. The show is loosely based off the Director, Jill Soloway’s experience with a parent coming out as Trans. The show has an amazing cast, including Jeffrey Tambor, Jay Duplass, and Gaby Hoffmann. The plot is phenomenal, beautiful, and feels very authentic. The show touches on sexuality, maturing, family dynamics, and life in general. Recently, I was a bit too anxious for Season 2 to be released, so I went to a screening for the entire season. Season 2 is by far my favorite of the two, I thought it was filmed beautifully and the plot hit me a lot more than Season 1 did. If you have a good chunk of time this holiday season, I strongly encourage anyone to watch this amazing show.
Since we are so close to our holiday vacations, here’s a little motivation!
Fun fact about me, I am a HUGE FRIENDS fan. So, obviously I like to spend my day before Thanksgiving dinner watching all of the Thanksgiving episodes, because they are they are hilarious. I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and that you laugh as much as everyone does on FRIENDS!
